A new life is blooming...

Today is Five Minute Friday.  The day when Lisa Jo Baker gives us a one word prompt and we write for 5 minutes about whatever that prompt brings to mind.  5 minutes flat....no worrying about grammar or spelling or run on sentences.  No over editing or over thinking just losing yourself in your thoughts and words.  Please join us and tell us what the word BLOOM says to you today.

Some of you, who are regular readers of my blog, will not be surprised at the fact that today's word brought to mind the new life blooming inside our daughter, Ting, and the shower that we are currently underway planning to celebrate this life.

A new life is always a miracle.  Even when it is not a convenient time or not planned.  I like to say, when people talk about unplanned pregnancies, that God evidently had that life planned or it would not be blooming.

God knows us all by name.  He knitted us together in our mother's wounds.  There is definitely a plan and His plan is perfection.  So we celebrate the little miracle with which we have been blessed.  We eagerly anticipate each new step in this pregnancy and we cannot wait to get our hands on that beautiful little life.

  3. Grandchildren are a blessing! You will love him/her deeply. My mom just left to return home after an overnight babysitting for our two boys...she graciously sat with them so my husband and I could take a birthday date night last night with friends. Then I had a nice walk with a girl friend this morning. Children and grandchildren are sweet to watch "bloom!"

  4. I am so excited for you. I think you are 100% right - God had this planned and that makes it perfect. He never really promised us convenient, did He? Can't wait to see the pictures and hear the stories of this new grandbaby.
