Yesterday, my heart...Today, a kiss.....#TripleSBites

Spicy, Saucy, Sexy.....today I am adding another S to our lineup.  This S is for Sweet!!  When Camilla planned this party, she created the TripleSBites, a wonderful idea....and I know that chocolate can be very Sexy.  I also know that you can Spice it up and we all know how wonderful a chocolate Sauce is not to mention how many Sexy, Spicy ways that Sauce could be used!!

But, today, I am adding a kiss of honey to my chocolate making it a Sweet and delightful little bite.  I had told you about the wonderful Organic Chocolates I had gotten from Spicely Organics before this party began.  Well, I used the Honeybush Caramel Chocolate Discs to garnish my Chocolate Mousse with a Kiss of Honey.

Didn't they turn out lovely?
I normally would have sprinkled them with chocolate shavings but these little discs of Spicely Organic Chocolates  were just the right size.

This is a very simple recipe that I made even easier.  I first found the recipe in the May 1995 issue of Bon Apetit magazine.  I think it is nice to have a simple yet decadent dessert following a large meal and this cloud of chocolate topped with unsweetened whipped cream is just perfect.

Chocolate Mousse with a Kiss of Honey
adapted from Simplest Chocolate Honey Mousse from Bon Apetit

1 1/4 c.  heavy cream
6 oz. semisweet chocolate (I use Ghiradelli)
2 1/2 T. honey
1/2 c. heavy cream, whipped
4 discs of Spicely Organics Honeybush Chocolates, if desired.

Place all ingredients in med heavy pot and place over med low heat.  Cook and stir until smooth and combined.  Cool, stirring often and then chill until very cold.  Pour into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and beat until light and fluffy.  Spoon into 4 dessert bowls or ramekins.  Top with the whipped cream and garnish with chocolate discs, shaved chocolate or fresh fruit.  Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.  Print Recipe

Spicely Organics  I recieved samples of Spicely Organics Chocolates for participating in this event.  I was not required to nor rewarded for using the chocolates in a recipe.  All opinions are solely mine and based on my experiences with the product. 1. These cooking clubs sure make it difficult to stick to a diet. On the good side we don't eat out nearly as often and anything made at home is much healthier than the best restaurant dish.
